3 Reasons to Choose Organic Bedding

28 February, 2022 by Rebecca Simpson 3 Min Read

We spend a lot of time ensuring that we fuel our bodies with organic ingredients, nourish our skin with organic beauty treatments, and protect our children by choosing organic products when we can. So, it makes sense to consider our choices when it comes to the bedroom too. After all, we spend a third of our lives in our beds! We sat down with the team at Heveya who shared three simple reasons to choose organic bedding products.

Organic bedding by Heveya

#1 A healthier sleep

When you choose organic, you’re exposing yourself to fewer chemicals and harmful ingredients. Heveya mattresses are made of 100% natural organic latex – nothing else. This ensures that the mattresses are free from pesticides, fertilisers, heavy metals, VOCs and other chemicals that can put your health in harm’s way.

Not only is this special latex tapped from organically grown rubber trees, but the mattresses are made without any metal springs, synthetic foams or glue. Heveya organic latex mattresses are comfortable, supportive and hypoallergenic.

“What if I’m not quite ready to buy a mattress?” If that sounds like you, rest assured that it’s easy to transform your bedroom to a healthier space by starting small and building up. For example, you could begin by removing electrical devices at night, and adding some plants or greenery. Then make the switch to some natural or organic bedding – sheets, pillowcases or duvets, for example (all available at Heveya).

#2 Natural protection

Good news for anyone who suffers from sniffles and sneezes: 100% natural organic latex is hypoallergenic and offers natural protection from dust mites and mould. This allows allergy sufferers and those with sensitivities to rest easy.

On top of this, all Heveya’s pillows and mattresses are made with a removable cover. This makes them easy to clean and maintain, even for super-sensitive sleepers.

#3 Better for the environment

It’s true that organically farmed products can incur a higher cost, but we reckon it’s a fair price to pay for our planet – the extra you pay for organic latex is fed back into preserving our natural resources.

Unlike synthetic mattresses that take a heavy environmental toll, Heveya’s range of organic 100% latex mattresses use latex sourced from certified and regulated eco-conscious plantations. Latex farmed using chemical pesticides, on the other hand, can contaminate surrounding land or water bodies, damaging soil over time and potentially causing precious terrain to go to waste.

For a slightly higher price, you can protect your health and that of your loved ones by going organic.
