‘The fitness studio of the future is here!’

Keeping to a fitness routine is one way to shake off the stresses of a big move. And, if you’ve been needing a circuit breaker to get into exercise, why not take advantage of the fresh start? Flex Studio has always offered a range of innovative classes – along with yoga and Pilates, you’ll find sessions of Xtend Barre, AntiGravity Aerial Fitness and FLEXtreme cardio and strength training. As cofounder Heather Thomas Shalabi explains, they’ve now applied this innovation to their studio space.

Flex - Man working out

“The fitness studio of the future is here!” says Heather. “Flex recently opened a new space above our Central location, and it’s a stunning, full-service concept that caters to the changing needs and desires of busy people in Hong Kong.”

The new studio space comes as renovations have finished on their existing third floor, which is now dedicated to group, private, duet and trio Pilates classes.

Heather says the changes were all about being able to offer an integrated experience. So, the fourth floor studio is perfect for cross-training, with a comprehensive weight rack on the back wall, a ballet barre, TRX rods, AntiGravity hammocks and heating for hot yoga – all in a free-flow design.

“It means you can flow between classes easily,” says Heather. “There’s an energetic mood to the space, and it creates an ‘at home’ feeling, which ensures that exercise is as integral to your life in Hong Kong as work, play, eat and sleep.”
