Roy and Sarah are a Hong Kong couple who lived in Kowloon Tong for many years, before moving recently to a new house in Hong Lok Yuen. The first item they made a point of bringing across in the move? Why did you decide to buy a Heveya latex mattress?
After a while, when you reach a certain age, you start to want a mattress that you can really sleep on. Sarah and I have been fortunate to do quite a bit of travelling, and you go to certain hotels and then later think, “Wow, we had a really comfortable night at that place – what was that mattress?” and “What kind of pillow was that?”
I started thinking more and more along those lines, and then I began trying out some brands. Some were very good, but when I first felt the Heveya mattress, it was like it had the “x-factor.” I didn’t hesitate to purchase it.
And you opted for the king size mattress, right?
Yes, which made it tricky to carry up through the old building we used to live in. But somehow we managed! We’re so glad we did; too, as every night has been wonderful with the new mattress.
You mentioned the x-factor before – what do you think gives the Heveya mattress this character?
I would say the comfort. I’m an interior designer by profession, so I’ve always had to keep an eye out for high quality mattresses in Hong Kong. And while there are good brands available, the key thing about Heveya was first and foremost the comfort. I remember when I first tried it, it was like it became one with me!
