Your Horoscopes for February!

1 February, 2021 by Expat Living 5 Min Read

https://expatliving.hk/horoscopes-2020/

Whether or not you believe in the stars, horoscopes or astrology, monthly forecasts usually resonate in some way. Our regular star-sign forecasts by Sharan (tarotbysharan.com) are actually based on tarot, so they’re a little bit different. We’ve been a fan of Sharan for years, so, if you’re in need of a little guidance, she might just be the card for you!

Aquarius (20 Jan – 18 Feb)

There is a burgeoning of emotions for Aquarius this month. Imagine a dormant volcano bubbling to life – metaphorically, that is. You’re on a path of release and healing. It’s a month of Mercury Retrograde, with lots of reflection on your past – most likely your childhood – taking place. Words that have been spoken without being thought through will resurface, coupled with regret. You seem ready to let go of it all. With this release comes a sense of overwhelming love and joy for the people who have hurt you or you have hurt in your past. There is nothing much to do physically; just breathe through this emotional journey and be present through it all. What a breakthrough it’s going to be!

Pisces (19 Feb – 20 Mar)

You’re seeking change this month. And it’s not a small change but more of a breakthrough change that you’re after. Once a Pisces sets their mind to something, it’s more than likely that they will also have a plan in place to see it through. So you will be in planning and expansion mode this February. And you won’t stop till you get every detail right before you begin your manifesting process.

Aries (21 Mar – 19 Apr)

It’s strategy time! How do you earn more money or how do you stop feeling like money is a constant struggle? How do you improve your energy levels? Why do you constantly feel tired? These are some of the questions – and there are probably more – that you need to ponder. List down everything that doesn’t feel right in your life this month and prioritise which one feels like the most important issue you need to combat first. Work your way through the list. Please don’t rush through this. You need to conjure a plan to overcome each obstacle and you need to be as meticulous as you can. Only this way will you be able to overcome them and lead a fulfilled, wealthy and healthy life that you have always envisioned for yourself.

Taurus (20 Apr – 20 May)

February appears to be a bit of a dilemma for Taurus. The dilemma is whether to grab a moment of opportunity or wait and see how things unfold. This seems to apply to relationships, both in business and romance. Acting on the spur of the moment will leave you unprepared should you be faced with obstacles or miscalculated risks. And waiting too long may mean you’ve lost the moment altogether. What a predicament! I definitely don’t envy your situation. Since it’s a Mercury Retrograde month, I wouldn’t advise acting hastily, no matter how enticing the options are. Pause and think things through, or wait to see what tricks the other party has up its sleeve before you respond.

Gemini (21 May – 20 Jun)

It’s a month of celebration for Gemini this February. Finances are looking good. If you’ve been looking for a job switch or the opportunity to start a business, you seem to be getting a jumpstart either in the form of help from someone or financial support. If the stock market is your thing, then your wait will pay off. You’re off to a new beginning this month, whatever the circumstances you are in. Get ready to pop the champagne!

Cancer (21 Jun – 22 Jul)

If you’re seeking a change in your career, then it can only happen if you take steps to make it happen. Don’t make decisions based on emotions this month – it won’t steer you in the direction that will work best for you. Also, don’t make a switch based on emotion. Your decision should be based on logic and research as to what will work best for you in the current climate. Enjoying brewing your own beer will not land you a multi-million dollar business, for example. Be practical with your choices and take into account your own strengths and weaknesses. It’s very important that you do your own unbiased in-depth research on any subject before you decide to embark on it.

Leo (23 Jul – 22 Aug)

This is a fast-paced month with plenty of opportunities. It’s easy to get overwhelmed by the pace as well as the opportunities or choices available. So be sure to have your feet on the ground at all times. Don’t get dazzled by the possibilities; rather, stick to what you know and what is within your reach. Things are never going to be what they are on the surface so it’s up to you to do your research. Be sure to stick to a plan or structure for achieving your goals. Dreaming up possibilities is no good without a proper plan of action.

Virgo (23 Aug – 22 Sep)

The only way out of conflict, struggle, competition and indecision this month will be to trust your intuition. You should be able to feel your way through your blocks and obstacles to achieve the family and financial goals you set for yourself. One of your goals will be to become a dependable person and to be able to provide a comfortable life for your loved ones. You may find yourself in a position of dispensing advice as well this February. Your ability to make an uncomfortable situation into a manageable one becomes an inspiration for many around you.

Libra (23 Sep – 22 Oct)

You may find your actions hitting a brick wall this month, and coming to a sudden stop. It’s not something you anticipated or will be prepared for. It leaves you in quite a vulnerable state, with more pressure in trying to pick up the pieces and trying to start again. These sorts of episodes aren’t new in your life. You’ve had to face many challenges in your past and they all seem like a practice run before this one. So you are in a place where you’ve got your heart in the right place and a good head on your shoulders to navigate the situation before you. Good luck, Libra!

Scorpio (23 Oct – 21 Nov)

It’s a great month to pick up a new skill or learn a new subject to grow professionally this February. We’re living in uncertain times so it will help to diversify or just add value to what you already know. Be objective with your choices, and set aside your emotions and ego. It’s never a bad thing to be a novice at something. Look at it as an opportunity to build your foundation in areas you would not otherwise venture into.

Sagittarius (22 Nov – 21 Dec)

There is a sense of wanting to settle into something this month and work towards building strong roots for yourself so you can grow and flourish in your element. Your peers and family will pick up a change in you this February; a more serious you, where there is more detailed planning and structure going into your days. All this is definitely not for nothing. This new way of doing things will open up opportunities to grow your pot, increase your sales, get promoted or even land your dream job.

Capricorn (22 Dec – 19 Jan)

It’s quite unlike Capricorn to take complete time off. But it feels like it’s very much needed this February. The focus is on you, so get that journal out and list everything that you ever wanted to do but just never got around to it. It could be anything from learning to ride a horse to starting a cocktail delivery service. It doesn’t matter; just let the creative juices flow no matter how out of character it is for you. This feels like the beginning of finding your happy place. Financially, it also feels feasible to indulge in these dreamy aspirations.

In the mood for a sweet treat? These chewy salted caramel and chocolate cookies are delicious with a cuppa or warmed and crumbled over ice cream.

This recipe makes about 25 cookies.

Ingredients

5 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened (or as an alternative, substitute half of the butter with natural peanut butter)
1 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup plain flour
6 tablespoons cocoa or cacao
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon sea salt flakes
1 cup chocolate chips
1 Mars Bar, chopped

Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
2. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Add the egg and vanilla, then beat well.
4. Combine flour, cocoa (or cacao), baking soda and half of the salt; gradually blend into the creamed mixture. 5.Stir in the chocolate chips and Mars Bar pieces.
6. Drop tablespoon-sized amounts of the mixture onto a lined cookie sheet.
7. Bake for 8 to 9 minutes. Tip: do not over-bake! The cookies should be soft, they’ll puff up while baking and flatten while cooling.
8. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet onto wire rack.
9. Sprinkle with remaining sea salt flakes.
Enjoy!
