The team from Kinesiology Asia in Hong Kong tells us more about their integrative health clinic, which provides therapy and wellbeing assessments. They also discuss how to achieve balanced health, and the support they can offer to help you on your wellness journey in Hong Kong.
What is kinesiology?
It’s a non-invasive healing modality that integrates knowledge and techniques from Western and Eastern medical and holistic health disciplines. Originally developed in the 1960s, kinesiology in Hong Kong draws on the “triad of health” model, recognising the inter-relational dynamic between physical, mental and emotional health.
In each kinesiology session, the treatment is catered to each individual, identifying the effect that stress has on the body across physical, psycho-emotional and energetic dimensions.
How can it promote physical, emotional and mental health?
The goal of a kinesiology session is to identify stressors that may be affecting the body negatively. These can be many and varied. Our bodies have the innate ability to heal or optimise towards maintaining performance; a practitioner uses muscle response testing to identify underlying stressors and ways to resolve the issue to achieve sustainable, holistic wellbeing and balanced health.
The session usually involves some acupressure, reflex points, light and sound therapy, and counselling. After a session, most people feel more relaxed, energised and empowered to resolve issues affecting their health, happiness and wellbeing.
How do you differentiate yourself from other health and wellness providers?
Most health and wellness clinics are multi-modal, however, we specialise exclusively in kinesiology. All of our practitioners are highly trained in this field, and we use a variety of techniques to help our clients achieve their health goals. Our hypnotherapist is also a kinesiologist and clinical nutritionist, which allows us to offer a unique and integrated approach to hypnotherapy. We also have a kinesiology education arm, where we train and offer programmes for new and existing practitioners.

What’s new at Kinesiology Asia?
We have recently added our wellbeing assessment to the services we provide. It’s a simple, comprehensive test indicating areas of improvement to restore energetic balance. The assessment looks at your current wellbeing from the three dimensions: physical, psycho-emotional and energetic.
We’ll soon be launching a sound device that has been many years in research and development but is now ready. It helps keep the body’s subtle energies in balance, helping people to stay focused and perform better under stress.
