Take the brood to this family-friendly villa

Bali villa with a bouncy castle and animals? It doesn’t get much more family-friendly than that! Villa Joju in Canggu is owned by Singapore expats, and was built to create a fun and stress-free vacation for both parents and kids. Happy kids means happy parents! Here’s what you can expect.

#1 Location

The newly opened villa is located in Berawa, Canggu, a 40-minute drive from the airport. The surrounds are picturesque rice terraces, yet it’s still within walking distance to boutiques and restaurants. The area is also famed for the surf and sunsets of its beaches, which are also nearby, while Seminyak is 15 minutes away.

#2 Features

There are four king bedrooms, one large kids’ room with custom-made bunk beds for six little ones, and a private pool. It can sleep eight adults, six children and infants in cots. Little ones can sleep well knowing that their parents are near (the kids’ room is accessible only through the master bedroom), while the privacy and comfort of separate rooms is maintained. If you’re coming in a larger group, consider renting the adjoining property, Villa Joju Alit – this will give you an additional four king bedrooms, perfect for a Bali break with extended family and friends.

Villa Joju might be a child’s dream, but there’s no compromise on style and luxury. The villa has an oversized sunken lounge that can accommodate approximately 20 people. Plus stylish indoor and outdoor dining areas, and a striking entrance with a double ceiling and display of rattan pendant lighting. The child-proof design includes non-slip tiles, and available baby accessories include travel cots, monitors, sterilisers and even breast pumps for complimentary use. Pool fences are also included, and if requested can be installed in time for your arrival.

#3 Activities

Say goodbye to tantrums from restless children – there are endless ways for little ones to pass the days at Villa Joju! The in-villa bouncy castle can be set up within minutes and it doubles as a ball pit. There’s also a games deck with classic board and card games for everyone to enjoy, and the villa is also stocked with plenty of toys (including favourite characters from shows such as Paw Patrol and Peppa Pig), doll’s houses, arts and crafts, and bookshelves lined with children’s storybooks.

The comfy lounge area

The villa’s sunken lounge area can be transformed into an outdoor movie theatre, complete with freshly-popped popcorn. Nature-loving kids will enjoy the “cow cuddling” experience, too; a friendly mother and calf graze outside for most of the day, and love to nuzzle and interact with children. Others might prefer to try the Joju Garden Fish Spa, with little garra rufa fish nibbling away at any dead skin on their feet! And of course, you can’t forget the pool, which is stocked with a variety of pool noodles, water toys and inflatables, and has a shallow “splash” zone for the littlest ones.

#4 Staff

With the villa’s team of full-time staff on hand, you won’t need to lift a finger! Every stay comes with full-time housekeeping, daily pool and garden maintenance, and night security for extra peace of mind. If you need, the villa can also arrange for first-aid certified nannies to watch over the kids. Beside this, you can expect delicious lunches and dinners prepared by the villa’s full-time private chef. The staff are great with kids and happy to entertain little ones while mum and dad enjoy a gin and tonic or a massage. Complimentary workshops include slime-making and non-toxic playdough.

The villa is a few minutes’ drive from the facilities on offer at Finn’s Recreation Club and Finn’s Beach Club. Villa guests can enjoy a “Villa Joju Finn’s Platinum Membership”, which includes complimentary access to Splash Water Park and daybeds at both clubs. In addition, you’ll get discounts at Cubby House Kids Club, Body Temple Spa, Toni & Guy Hair Salon, Bounce Trampoline Park and Strike Bowling.
