Ready for December? Get all your Christmas shopping done early at the Prestige Fairs Christmas 2022 Gift and Lifestyle Fair returning to Conrad Hong Kong on 5 December. The event brings together creative artisans and entrepreneurs who’ll be offering a huge range of fabulous gifts. Take a look at this handful of retailers for a taste!
Spark Store
This store selling condiments and chocolates is an extension of the Asian Vegetarian cookbook A Spark of Madness – featuring 116 recipes from all over Asia. The products are handmade in Hong Kong, and are all vegetarian with no nasties or preservatives. New at the fair is Spark Truffle Chili Crisp, a vegan sauce comprising eight chilli varietals – from Sichuan Pepper to Kashmiri Chili – and infused with Italian black truffle oil and black truffle concentrate. It also features crunchy chilli pieces, fried garlic, fried shallots and sesame seeds for textural differences.
The Blomstre
A passion project by a wife-and-hubby pair, The Blomstre offers lovingly hand-crafted and hand-poured soy wax candles and other home fragrances, to elevate your mood and serenade your senses. Products are handmade in small batches using non-toxic, natural and organic ingredients in the couple’s homey creative studio in Hong Kong. Among other things, they’ll be showcasing their cocktail series – think mint mojito and pina colada candles – and a mulled wine candle especially for Christmas scent!
Swedish Handmade
Swedish Handmade is a freshly made body-care business that offers handmade products without any chemicals. The brand’s philosophy is to take the same approach that is taken to the sourcing and preparation of fresh, organic food! This year, they’re launching a yummy new Cinnamon and Orange Hand Soap, especially for Christmas.
Munchin Chocolatier
Love something sweet? Munchin Chocolatier handmakes artisanal chocolates in Hong Kong, with each flavour curated to be special in its own way and to suit different palates. The team loves to use 70 percent vegan dark chocolate – and they’ll also love coming up with special gift options for all occasions. For Prestige Fairs, they’re launching Ganache-filled Bonbons and Christmas Hot Chocolate Bombs!
Alvin CK Lam
“Unspoken Stories, Unsung Heroes” is local artist Alvin’s collection of watercolour paintings that pay tribute to a disappearing generation whose lifetime of devotion helped shape the Hong Kong of today. His work brings to life real stories of extraordinary men and women in a celebration of the ‘Lion Rock Spirit’. It’s affordable art for the Hong Kong lover, with limited-edition prints, postcards and seasonal cards available – including a new hand-painted Christmas card set!
Mazŭ Resortwear
Hong Kong has always had an intimate relationship with the sea; local fishermen, distant travellers and avid sailors have all respected the waters that hug the verdant hills of its coastline. A true blend of tradition and modernity, Mazu Resortwear pays homage to this rich maritime history; incorporating traditional colours, local motifs and unique fabrics to create resortwear for the man who understands quality and comfort. Keep an eye out for the brand’s newly released Pitch Black Lounge Shorts.
Un Air Parisien
This young French jewellery brand was founded by two friends, Catherine and Fanfan, who share the same love of Paris, Parisian architecture, women’s freedoms and the French spirit of “art de vivre”, all of which influence their creations. Un Air Parisien products are 100 percent made in France to guarantee quality and sustainability, and come packed in beautiful eco-responsible packaging.
ANORAK
ANORAK aspires to bring personalised fashion accessories for the modern lifestyle, ideal for anyone who loves travel and embraces mindfulness. These are products that make organising fun – and pretty! They’ll also customise items to create something that’s uniquely for you. Keep an eye out at the fair for the launch of their explorer tote bag, at a discounted price.
