The YWCA Spring Bazaar is back for its 11th year – here’s what to expect

The weather is warming up and the rains are a-coming so now’s the time to stock up on goodies for the family. The YWCA Spring Bazaar, in its 11 year, is nearly upon us. Come join the fun on 28 April, 2016.

Over 50 vendors will be showcasing tons of creative gifts and products

Previous customers will be ready to pounce on the best bargains at opening time, 10am. With over 50 vendors showcasing a wide range of Hong Kong’s best creative talent, you’re bound to come away with some very interesting swag.

From elegant designer jewellery and funky fashion accessories for your loved one to magical books and to-die-for clothes for the kids. The YWCA Spring Bazaar is a bargain hunter’s paradise – while also supporting independent Hong Kong vendors and artisans as well as charities supported by the YWCA.

You’ll also be able to spruce up your home with stylish homewares and sensual aromatherapy oils, indulge in gourmet food and wine, and discover some truly wonderful arts and crafts… many of which are Hong Kong themed. So if you want to send a loved one overseas something memorable and undeniably unique about our amazing town, the YWCA Spring Bazaar is the place for you.

Hourly Lucky Draws will spice up the day, with vendors generously donating a wonderful selection of prizes. So keep your ears open while you browse, just in case your number is called!

More importantly, come and support the Charity Sale with proceeds going to YWCA charities including the CLLE (Centre of Learning and Life Enhancement). Books donated throughout the year, on every topic imaginable, are available for next to nothing at the Second Hand Book Stall. However, be warned this sale has proved incredibly popular each year so get in early.

Another much loved event supporting the Charity Sale is the Popular Bake Sale. YWCA members and teachers have donned their pristine aprons to produce a sweet and savoury selection of yumminess that will have you salivating. Indulging in naughty but nice treats all for good causes, what could be better?

Well you could go one better and bake your own delights for the sale – making a delicious contribution to charity while enjoying feedback on your culinary skills.

SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR BAKERS?

GET CHEESY, GET CHOCOLATEY BUT MOST OF ALL, GET CREATIVE!

The YWCA Spring Bazaar is again organised by the YWCA CLLE with sales benefitting the YWCA and its charitable causes. It’s an extremely important event in their calendar and truly helps many people in the Hong Kong community. Admission is FREE so please support the hardworking vendors and the Charity Sale.
