School style: Easy kids’ hairstyles

2 May, 2022 by Expat Living < 1

https://expatliving.hk/school-style-easy-kids-hairstyles-for-girls/

Looking for some school hairstyle inspo to keep your child’s tresses under control? Our friends at Emmanuel F have two easy and impressive kids’ hairstyles for girls to try.

#1 Rosebud Braids

Step 1: Part hair down the middle.

Step 2: Reverse braid down each side and fasten. With reverse braiding, lift the braid and tuck the new braid strand under the braid instead of over.

Step 3: Texturise the plaits at the end of the braid, pulling and flattening them out slightly. This will give the rosebuds volume.

Step 4: Curl the braids at the base of the hair; starting with a big circle, bring the hair in until the end of the braid can be tucked in the centre. Secure with bobby pins.

#2 Top Tuck, Kris-Cross Braids

Step 1: Secure a half ponytail and wiggle back the band to create a little room to manoeuvre. Split the pony on the head-side of the band by poking your finger through and tuck the ponytail through the split. Adjust.

Step 2: Split the ponytail and remaining hair down the middle of the scalp.

Step 3: Plait each side all the way to the end and secure.

Step 4: Grab the plait at the halfway point and lift it across to the diagonally opposite side of the head. This movement will fold the plait in half and tuck it up at the base of the head. Secure with bobby pins. Repeat the same with the other plait.
