Glow Spa

Glow Spa, in the heart of Hong Kong, has long been a go-to day spa for expats wanting some pampering in expert hands. Owned and operated by Sioban Guilfoyle, Glow offers a suite of treatments from head to toe. Has Hong Kong played havoc on your skin? Then try out one of their progressive facial treatments which include peels, microdermabrasion, HIFU facials, meso therapy, light  therapy, acne treatments, and alternatives to botox and injectable fillers. Got a special event coming up? The talk to the team about their slimming and transformation body treatments, or investigate one of their laser hair removal options. For something simple, pamper yourself with a new hair do, spray tan, or a mani-pedi.

best spas in Hong Kong - Emmanuel F

Emmanuel F

If an emphasis on organic treatments is important for you when it comes to facial and body therapies, then consider a visit to Emmanuel F in Sheung Wan. You’ll relax in the luxurious atmosphere of this eco-spa, safe in the knowledge that it only uses 100 percent natural and high-level certified organic products from France. The spa has a large range of treatments to choose from to ensure you’re looking and feeling your best, depending on what you wish to focus on. Facials include nourishing and purifying options, as well as anti-ageing or whitening treatments, and the qualified massage therapists can offer deep tissue and therapeutic massages. There’s also a range of slimming treatments on offer, along with pedicures, manicures, threading, tinting, and waxing, with wax imported from France. And don’t forget: all signature facials include a relaxing scalp, neck and shoulder massage, plus you can buy packages of treatments that include a free treatment! Expat Living readers can also get a free facial wax (eyebrow/chin/upper lip) if they book on the same day as their hair appointment.

Best spas in Hong Kong, - Elu Day Spa Central
Elu Spa in Hong Kong offers a beautiful spa to unwind in Central
They offer a range of treatments but we recommend the Ultimate Aromatherapy Experience
Even the rug rats can get in on the action at Elu Spa

Elu Spa

Elu Spa is a relative newcomer to the Central spa scene but it’s worth your time. Positioned on Lyndhurst Terrace right near Bookazine, this day spa offers a full menu of treatments and packages. We tried the Ultimate Aromatherapy Experience, which is a 60 minute massage treatment using your choice of aromatherapy massage blend. It was a lovely experience that started with a consultation with the therapist (who was excellent) to uncover any issues.  The spa itself is a calming space with a brand new renovation. Elu Spa is filled with natural notes and offers a nice area to chill out before and after your treatment. There is also a range of aromatherapy and skin care products to purchase.

spas: The Skin Gym prescription facials
The Skin Gym specialises in prescription facials

The Skin Gym

Regular clients of The Skin Gym will tell you this spa will have you looking and feeling like your best version of yourself in no time. Located on Wyndham Street, this is a pseudo-medical clinic specialising in skincare, and well known for its prescription facials. The therapists will take a look at your skin and carefully tailor a prescription facial to your individual needs. They also offer a High Intensive Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) treatment. This is a non-surgical facelift that reduces the signs of ageing and rejuvenates facial tissue for tighter, firmer, lifted, skin. Other spa services include laser and IPL hair removal, manicures, OzTan natural spray tans, eyebrow shaping and massage. You’ll also find infra-red sauna treatments, which can be used to improve circulation and boost immunity.
