Where to watch the Royal Wedding in Hong Kong

The wedding of Britain’s Prince Harry to American actress Meghan Markle is the stuff of fairytales. A secret romance between a popular prince and a glamorous TV star has blossomed into an enduring love match which will see the couple exchange vows on Saturday, 19 May in Windsor. If you have been swept up in this real-life soap opera, you’ll want to catch the wedding itself. Here are five places where to watch the Royal Wedding in Hong Kong.

FRITES

Watch the Royal Wedding live and get into the British spirit at FRITES with a traditional English Roast dinner featuring Angus beef, Yorkshire pudding and two sides for HK$250 per person. Sip on free flow drinks that include Prosecco, house wine and spirits, Pimms and others for two hours at an additional HK$250 per person. With multiple locations across Hong Kong, this is perfect for celebrating the Royal Wedding. Note: bookings have to be made one day in advance and require a minimum of four people.

Rúla Búla

What’s a royal wedding without drinks and some friends? Rúla Búla is screening the wedding and offering free flow champagne, martinis, gin and tonics and more for HK$350. Enjoy the three-hour event as you watch the happy couple get hitched on the big screen.

Ciao Chow

Go all out at Ciao Chow’s celebration, happening for 11 hours straight from 4pm to 3am the next day – the longest event on our list. Try their limited edition ‘Royal Wedding Cocktail’ or enjoy their gelato, tiramisu and lemon tarts selection. Seats are limited so be sure to reserve a spot or get there early as non-reservations are assigned on a first-come-first-served basis.

The Trafalgar Brewing Company

Celebrate the Royal Wedding in this traditional British pub, serving up sparkling wine at HK$50 per glass for the whole day. With two 120” outdoor projectors and eight indoor TVs, you won’t have to worry about missing any of the action.

Royal Geographical Society

The Society is hosting an event in conjunction with The British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and The Oxford and Cambridge Society of Hong Kong for this special occasion. Tickets need to be purchased by members, but you not only get to view the wedding on two big screens, you also get two hours of canape buffet and a drink. There’s also champagne for toasts by the Consuls General of the UK and other Commonwealth countries.
