Getting in line with celebrities such as Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Justin Bieber, Adam Levine and Taylor Swift, Hong Kong’s own have weighed in on the viral popularity of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.
It wasn’t enough for tech giants such as Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates – Hong Kong’s own guru of HK startups entrepreneur and NEST Investments founder Simon Squibb has given the shout out for ALS awareness fundraising. Check out Simon’s icy YouTube video here:
What is ALS? A quick Google search defines “Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), often referred to as ‘Lou Gehrig’s Disease,’ as a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Motor neurons reach from the brain to the spinal cord and from the spinal cord to the muscles throughout the body.”
