With so many events going on around town each week, we’ve picked 5 of the best to keep you and your family entertained this week. Here’s what we found:
 

 

#1 Shopping Hong Kong Spring/ Summer Shopping Event

What: The Shoppinghongkong yearly Spring/Summer Shopping event is back! Hosting high end vendors selling local and  international wares, shoppers will have the chance to purchase the most unique gifts for all the mums in town, or for themselves. Filling the gap between Hong Kong’s designer store and local markets shoppers will be able to find gifts unlike any others at the first fair of the season!

When: 28th April, 10 – 6pm

#2 Le French May x GourMay 2016 Opening Celebrations Festive French Weekend
 

What: Welcome May and welcome back Le French GourMay! Our favourite food and wine festival is back for its 8th year and will be celebrating by throwing a huge party with a variety of performances, gastronomy, and music from France. This 3-day celebration will be held in the Courtyard at PMQ and will be packed with stalls, featuring some of the best-loved French restaurants in town and top-class entertainment. See you there!

#3 Hong Kong Gold Coast Boat Show
 

What: Dubbed as the region’s largest boat show, the 4-day event is expected to attract over 12,000 visitors from yachting novices to true connoisseurs. The event features a mega showcase of the latest cruisers, yachts and watersports equipment on the market, together with entertainment options for the family and the one and only Gold Coast Cardboard Boat Charity Regatta in support of Children’s Cancer Foundation. More than 60 major international exhibitors will display an impressive collection of vessels and related equipment. With a combined value of over HK$ 1 billion dollars, from small sailboats and runarounds to superyachts, prices range from less than HK$100,000 to more than HK$50 million.

#4 Hong Kong Stories Live Show

What: Living in Hong Kong could be a soap opera in itself –  There are so many funny stories about living in the SAR of China, the fragrant harbour, the 852 or whatever you want to call it, and there’s nothing quite like sitting down with a beer and sharing them all! This monthly live show held at The Fringe club has been described as “True stories told before a live audience. It’s better than drama. It’s better than comedy. It’s real life!’ Tickets cost $120

When: 27th April, 10 – 6pm

Where: Fringe Club, Wyndham St, Central

 

 

#5 Le Disco Brunch

What: La Vache!‘s notorious free-flow brunch soiree returns with a house DJ, unlimited steak frites, mimosas, guillotine cocktails and house wine. And this month it is even better than the last, as the next day is a public holiday, so you can really let your hair down! Head on down for some classic disco tunes and some seriously good steak (this is definitely not one for the vegetarians though!)

$438 per head +10% service charge.
 

When: Sunday 1st May, 12 – 3pm

Where: La Vache, 48 Peel Street, Soho
