Charissa Areington is a health and fitness nutritional coach in Hong Kong who believes there is no single ideal diet to suit all people. Her aim, instead, is to find out what works for each of us individually when it comes to our lifestyles and our health and fitness goals. Charissa is also an advocate for Nuzest, a premium supplement designed to provide the body with the balance of vitamins and minerals it needs. Each week, she’ll bring us a delicious smoothie recipe based on a Nuzest product that’s easy to make at home and full of flavour and nutrients. This week, it’s a delicious Mango Vanilla Berry Smoothie recipe.
“Berries are not only widely popular, but delicious and such a great superfood to add into a smoothie. Every time I add berries into my smoothies, I think of those extra antioxidants that I am adding into my body. Berries are so great to fight off free radicals. This smoothie has a delicious twist with a little mango, and some smooth vanilla protein from Nuzest giving it that final texture and taste with added protein.”
Ingredients
Serves 2
- 1 cup of fresh mango chopped
- 1/2 cup of frozen black/blue berries
- 1/2 cup fresh raspberries/strawberries
- 1 cup chopped frozen strawberries
- 2 servings of Nuzest Smooth Vanilla Clean Lean Protein
- 1 cup of ice
- 400ml fresh coconut water
Instructions
Start by placing the softer fresh fruits into the blender first, then the mango and the protein powder. Add the frozen berries and ice. Then finally pour in your coconut water.
Blend the entire mix until smooth.
