Living Here Living In Hong Kong

Pets of the week: Dublin the kitten and Mable the pup

Looking to adopt a pet? Hong Kong’s shelters and rescue centres are overflowing with animals of all shapes and sizes just waiting for a forever home. Many have been abandoned or mistreated, while others have been left behind when their owners relocate. If you’re looking for a family pet, rescuing a dog or cat is a great way to give an animal a second chance. You may find the one your family is looking for right here on our new Pet of the Week page! This week we’re featuring two little lovelies who are being taken care of by the team at LAP.

Dublin

Who can resist kitten cuddles? Not us! Poor wee Dublin and his siblings were found in a plastic bag in a rubbish bin. Fortunately they were rescued and have been wonderfully well looked after by their foster family. They are now ready for forever homes. They are all delightful kittens, bouncing with health, fun and frolics.

Mabel tastes freedom and fresh air for the first time. She and her rescue-sisters endured years in the small dark cages of a puppy factory. They were neglected and needed a lot of treatment. Now 6-years-old, tiny Mabel has her paws on the Earth, the wind in her hair, and the love of her foster-family. Mabel doesn’t care about her past and is full of fun and adores a cuddle! She’s looking for a place to call home too.
