The Expat Living team were lucky enough to be a part of the media melee surrounding the launch of Gordon Ramsay’s first venture in Asia this week – the opening of Bread Street Kitchen in the heart of Lan Kwai Fong.
The 90-seat diner, modeled on the London restaurant of the same name, offers British dishes with an Asian twist. Ramsay says that by keeping the restaurant small, using high quality imported and local ingredients, with no compromising on quality, will help maintain the high standards and consistency he is famous for.
After sampling small bites from the menu at the launch party, we can’t wait to go back for lunch or dinner! The vibrant venue is perfect for casual family dining or late night bites with friends. Gordon loves the hustle and bustle of LKF, and the energy coming from the open kitchen at today’s launch was a perfect match for the location.
With French chef Gilles Bosquet at the helm, a menu that takes its cue from local influences, and a promise to come back and visit regularly, Gordon’s foray into Hong Kong’s dining scene looks set to impress.
