New furniture store for Kowloon

7 October, 2021 by Expat Living 3 Min Read

https://expatliving.hk/new-furniture-store-for-kowloon-boconcept-contemporary-danish-design/

Want a fresh look for your home in 2022? Contemporary Danish furniture and retail lifestyle brand BoConcept is not only launching a brand new store in Kowloon (opening October 2021), but it’s also introducing a range of new products and materials for the coming season and year. We take a look at what you’ll find when you step inside.

About the brand and the new store

BoConcept started in Denmark in 1952; today, it has more than 300 stores across 60 or more regions, including Hong Kong. The first flagship store launched here in 2013, in Central; this new Kowloon location, opening in Festival Walk, will be the fourth in HK.

The brand is well known for designing, producing and selling contemporary Danish furniture, accessories and lighting for living and dining rooms, bedrooms, home offices and also outdoor spaces.  It also offers an in-home or in-store interior design service so you can make your vision for your space come to life.

Along with displays of BoConcept’s customisable collections, the Kowloon store features an innovative staging concept called “The Heart”. Located in the middle of the showroom, this is a private area where shoppers can get personalised guidance while feeling and touching the available materials.

Some in-store highlights

Recently, there’s been a strong global move towards both a Scandinavian and Metropolitan lifestyle look in the home. BoConcept has refined these two directions and presented them in two styles in the Kowloon store: Quiet Luxury and Calming Neutrals. You can find elements of these styles in a range of products, including the following.

# New Furniture

  • The new Lille sofa will appeal to anyone looking for simple sophistication – as well as great value. It’s a simple and beautiful piece of Danish furniture with a light, feminine expression; the rounded arms and plain seats make it a minimalist yet sophisticated addition to a contemporary urban space. From HK$10,390 (2-seater)
  • The Fiorentina dining table features the brand’s signature butterfly-leaf extension, which finds fun in functionality. From an intimate two-person meal to an impressive 12-person dinner party, the table provides a new 360-degree experience for diners. From HK$21,590

# New Fabrics

  • Bresso fabric in beige, sand and grey is the truest interpretation of a calming neutral palette. It’s also exceptionally soft with a “knitted” aesthetic, a nod to the unstoppable crafting trend of the last decade.
  • Skagen fabric takes its name from Denmark’s northmost point, known for its white sand beaches with beautiful lines. These lines can be seen in the fabric, alongside a vast offering of colours, from beige, sand, steel and deep blue, to the colour of the moment, dusty red.

# New Colours

  • Lazio is a fabric that begs to be touched, delivering a rich softness and drape that lends beauty to any form; this new shade, Bloodstone, can add a touch of drama or a calming, earthy effect, depending on how it’s used.
  • Frisco, a practical, family-friendly fabric, has been updated with warm beige for those looking to create tone-on-tone expressions with a sandy palette. It’s ideal for heavy domestic use and perfect for tight or non-removable covers.

Take a look at these and a huge range of other goodies for the home at Shop LG1-34, Festival Walk, Kowloon Tong.
