How does laser hair removal treatment work?
Laser hair removal involves the beaming of highly concentrated light into hair follicles. This light is absorbed by the pigment in the hair, melanin, and destroys the hair follicle.
What machines do you use for laser hair removal?
We introduced new laser machines to Glow in late 2022. They use the latest triple wavelength technology that allows for deeper and even penetration of the light into the dermal layer and the safe and effective treatment of darker skin tones.
In addition, our 810 Diode lasers, new in the salon in November 2019 and July 2022, employ a continuous-pulse 810nm laser and both machine types use super-chilled sapphire-system cooling hand-pieces to ensure minimal discomfort while still allowing for rapid, continuous coverage of even large areas.
What kind of treatments do you offer?
We offer single sessions or courses of treatment. A single session is good if you just want to “try it out”, or if you have previously completed a course of treatment and are in need of a top-up.
A course of treatment consists of a consultation and patch test (if desired) and six treatment sessions. When the course is completed within nine months, Glow offers a complimentary 12-month touch-up period to catch any stray or resistant hairs, ensuring the very best result possible.

All of our LHR therapists are fully qualified beauty therapists and hold internationally recognised qualifications. Each team member has completed their certificate IV specialisation in Light & Laser Therapy; in addition, Jay, Candy and Carol have many years of experience looking after both female and male laser hair removal clients at Glow.
What results can I expect after a six-session course?
After six treatments, most clients will attain near total achievable hair reduction – this is typically greater than 80 percent reduction in the treatment area. To achieve optimum results the course should be completed within nine months, with visits spaced around four to six weeks apart.
What else should I know?
At Glow, we offer instalment payments, removing the requirement for a significant upfront payment. You can split your payments over six or 12 months, making the cost of the treatment easier to manage month to month.
In addition, we are flexible and understanding about the need to reschedule or cancel an appointment.
