10 December, 2019 by Juliet Keys 2 Min Read

If you’re in Hong Kong over Christmas and looking for something fun and educational for your children to do, why not start them on learning a new language, or boosting the skills they’ve already acquired? Over this year’s upcoming end-of-year holiday period, the Hong Kong Institute of Languages (HKIL) is offering Holiday Intensive Courses in seven different languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese and Japanese.

The courses are run by professional teachers using fun and engaging activities. “We’ve developed a creative proven approach to teaching languages, which focuses on giving youngsters positive reinforcement to boost their confidence while strengthening their ability to communicate in a different language,” says the HKIL team. Classes are taught 100 percent face to face in dedicated facilities designed for children’s learning.

HKIL is now in its fourth decade of teaching languages to children, teens, adults, corporations and schools. Tuition is available in English, French, German, Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese and Japanese. Courses are specialised and designed to help with every aspect of language learning, from preparing for language exams to meeting professional job requirements. “Many students enrol simply because they see learning another language as a way to enhance their personal lives,” says the team.

Also…

Did you know that French is the second most studied language on the planet, after English? There’s good reason for it too – it’s a key language not only for culture, travel and food, but for higher education, jobs and so much more. Available for both adults and teens, HKIL’s new French Express Learning Method is a fantastic way to get a quick grasp of French – in as little as 24 hours – on a topic tailored to your needs. You can choose anything from daily conversation to business lingo or exam preparation. There’s a wide variety of themes, all taught face to face with highly qualified native-speaking French teachers.
