Where to go for waxing in HK

24 November, 2022 by Expat Living 1 Min Read

Hong Kong has plenty of hot weather – and that means bikinis and shorts for many months of the year. As a result, you may be keen to tame the hair on your legs, arms, pits or nether regions. Here’s a waxing salon in Hong Kong that has all your hair removal needs covered.

About Dolma

Dolma Waxing Boutique is a salon started by beautician Dolma, who has over 20 years of experience in the business in Hong Kong. She’s all about offering clients comfort and privacy, along with hygienic, high-standard and relatively pain-free waxing using premium products. Her specialties are Brazilian waxing and eyebrow threading.

Choose Your Style

If swimsuit season is looming and you know you’ll have a little more skin on display, book one of the following popular treatments at Dolma.

The Brazilian:

This involves removing hair from the entire pubic area, leaving a small “landing strip” or triangle just above the vaginal area. The rest of the hair is completely removed from front to back including the buttocks and in between.

The Bikini:

A regular bikini wax aims to remove the hair outside your panty line. The technician will apply wax to remove hair from the sides and tidy up above your pubic triangle.

The Hollywood:

Feeling brave? A Hollywood waxes all the pubic hair off, removing it completely from the pubic area so you’re entirely hairless.

Dolma’s Tips For Beach-ready Hair Removal

1. Timing is everything: try to wax two to three days before a junk trip, for instance, and avoid swimming in open or chlorinated water or exposing the area to sun for 24 to 48 hours after waxing.

2. Got red bumps after waxing? Usually, these tiny bumps go away in a few days. Keep the area clean, apply a cool compress, wear loose clothing, and don’t pick or squeeze.

Dolma Waxing Boutique is at Unit 303, 3/F, Yu To Sang Building, 37 Queen’s Road Central.
