West Kowloon Cultural District: Freespace Happening
11 February, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Take the family out to enjoy a Freespace Happening event for the season at the West Kowloon Cultural District. The fun-filled afternoon will see a host of activities to enjoy from music, to dance, to a fortune telling booth. The Travelling Creative Studio returns for a pop-up visit with artist Ng Ka Chun, whose work invites you to rethink the purpose and meaning of ordinary objects. You can also enjoy a Nursery Park tour or browse the markets.
Stretching across 40 hectares of reclaimed land, the West Kowloon Cultural District is one of the largest cultural projects in the world, blending art, education and open space. Its vision is to create a vibrant cultural quarter for Hong Kong where the local arts scene can interact, develop and collaborate. Providing 23 hectares of public open space with two kilometres of vibrant harbour-front promenade it will also include a variety of arts and cultural facilities that will produce and host world-class exhibitions, performances and arts and cultural events.
