Stamford Talks – International Baccalaureate Diploma Program
12 April @ 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Find out more about the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IDBP) at the next session of Stamford Talks. The IBDP program officially begins for students in Grade 11, however there is a lot of preparation prior to Grade 11 to ensure both acceptance and success into this academically rigorous program. When deciding if the IBDP is right for your child there are many considerations to take into account beyond the academic, and understanding the program as well as the entry requirements is an important first step.
This Stamford Talks information sessions will help parents understand the core elements of the IBDP, what is expected of students before and after acceptance into the program and paths post-graduation. The session will cover a broad overview of IBDP, academic and non-academic requirements for entry, and required courses and electives. It will also include tips for parents to help prepare their children for the IBDP program, as well as information on learning that supports IB entry, and what parents can expect after graduation.
This session is open to all parents who want to learn more about the IB programme and how they can help prepare their child for this program. There will be two sessions on 12 April. The first will be at 1pm at the Stamford American School Hong Kong campus at 25 Man Fuk Road, Ho Man Tin, Kowloon. This will be followed by an optional school tour. The second session will be at 6pm at the Central Admissions Office, Suites 4005-4007, 40/F, Two Exchange Square, 8 Connaught Place in Central.
