Peaceful Colour – Hong Kong through 140 artworks

The Sun Museum has collaborated with the Hong Kong Artists Society to present its latest free exhibition “Peaceful Colour.” There are 140 paintings by 70 members of the Society in the exhibition depicting the intriguing and distinctive characteristics of living in Hong Kong. The only requirement was that the artworks complied with the required size of A3.
The exhibition comprises mainly landscape paintings, along with portraits and still-life paintings. Subject matters include the fishing village Tai O; Ngong Ping cable car; Yau Ma Tei fruit market, neon lights and bustling city life. Moreover there are also paintings capturing hong Kong’s foodie scene including pineapple buns, milk tea, egg waffles, and rice pudding.
