Looking for something exciting to do in Hong Kong this November? India by the Bay is back from 8 to 12 November! Co-presented by the Asia Society Hong Kong Center, this week-long festival celebrates Indian arts, culture, and heritage with a variety of events.
Event details:
- 8 Nov: Chat with renowned author and historian William Dalrymple about his acclaimed podcast, Empire.
- 9 Nov: Start your morning with chanting, pranayama, and yoga led by George Dovas and Devika Virmani. Join a session on Ayurveda with experts Ramkumar Kutty and Kavita Khosa of PUREARTH. In the evening, enjoy delicious cuisine by chef Ashish Bhasin and a fashion showcase from designer Sanjay Garg’s Raw Mango.
- 10 Nov: Literary sessions featuring Vikas Swarup, Aarathi Prasad, and John Zubrzycki, in collaboration with the Hong Kong International Literary Festival. An evening of music with Usha Uthup, the queen of Indian pop, in conversation with Sanjoy K. Roy.
- 11 Nov: Experience a blend of Indian classical music and American jazz with George Brooks on saxophone and Utsav Lal on piano, joined by guzheng player Yeung Ching Ho and tabla player Jorge Ramiro.
- 12 Nov: Don’t miss Endless Love, a collaborative dance performance featuring Bharatnatyam soloist Rukmini Vijayakumar, Cantonese opera performer Pui Yan (Eliza), and percussionist Sunaad Anoor.
