Harbour Arts Sculpture Park
22 February - 11 April
The Harbour Arts Sculpture Park, Hong Kong’s first international sculpture park, will bring museum-quality works to the public, dramatically transforming the landscape of Central and Wan Chai Harbourfront. Presented by Hong Kong Arts Centre, with support from lead partner H Queen’s by Henderson Development Limited, the Harbour Arts Sculpture Park will feature sculptures by over 18 emerging and renowned local and international contemporary artists together – a first for the artists and the city. Curated by Fumio Nanjo, Director of Mori Art Museum and Director of International Programme at Hong Kong Art School, and Tim Marlow, Artistic Director at the Royal Academy of Arts, the free sculpture park offers a unique opportunity to experience world-class art set against the backdrop of Hong Kong’s iconic skyline.
The exhibition is accompanied by the ‘Harbour Arts Sculpture Park’ Jockey Club Arts Education Programme supported by lead education partner, The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. It is a diverse and extensive programme of workshops and educational activities, with a goal to demonstrate that art is for all ages and interests. The Hong Kong Arts Centre will also produce a dedicated mobile app with detailed information on each of the sculptures and a multilingual audio guide in Cantonese, English and Mandarin.
