G Talk by Residence G: How to fight poverty worldwide
28 May @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
G Talk – a short, free seminar, is a global initiative held in G Residences and Hotels around the world to raise awareness of certain global issues, including social movement and poverty alleviation. After debuting G Talk in March, Residence G Hong Kong will be hosting the second in the series at Scarlett Café & Wine Bar on 28 May. World Vision, an international humanitarian organisation will be sharing their insights and experiences about Global Poverty issues.
World Vision was established in Hong Kong in 1982 to support the work of World Vision worldwide. Today the Hong Kong operation is supporting over 100 Area Development Programs in more than 20 countries around the world, transforming the lives of over 200,000 sponsored children with both emergency relief and long-term support. Resource Development Manager of World Vision Hong Kong, Betty Tai, will be sharing in-depth facts and case studies done in the past. Understand how every single contribution can create a lasting change to lives, especially children who are living in extreme poverty.
