DESIGN SPECTRUM: Material Modernity Exhibition

Design Spectrum is a new initiative by Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC) to foster a good design culture in the community.
Curated by Amy Chow, a world-renowned interdisciplinary design expert, Design Spectrum will roll out a series of exhibitions with four unique themes: materials, reading, lifestyles and creative industries. The debut exhibition entitled Material Modernity: Incredible Bamboo, Paper Wood looks at the visual culture and language of Asian design through material innovation. More than 90 award-winning designs by designers from across Asia, including Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, The Mainland, Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam will be featured at the exhibition. A unique art installation by renowned architect William Lim will be unveiled alongside innovative designs from homegrown young designers.
Design Spectrum will offer a series of workshops and seminars to design enthusiasts and industry practitioners along with free guided tours for visitors, explaining the stories and ideas behind the designs.
