Central Beyond Vision Exhibition
20 March @ 10:00 am - 8 April @ 7:00 pm
Central Beyond Vision, hosted by Hongkong Land, is an exhibition that lets audiences develop a deeper connection with the city that they live in, and engage with urban developments that impact their day-to-day living. Taking centre stage in the midst of Hong Kong’s core business district, Central Beyond Vision is an inclusive event where both the sighted and the visually impaired can marvel at art depicting the district’s iconic buildings and scenery as well as works illustrating the pedestrian and transport infrastructure that help make the city accessible to all. The exhibition takes place at The Rotunda, Exchange Square, from 20 March to 8 April.
On weekends during the exhibition period, visitors can also participate in “Touching Self-Portrait Drawing Workshops” at The Rotunda. These workshops will show participants how to draw without relying on sight, helping them connect to their inner voice and imagination and build mental images through the sense of touch. After their self-portraits receive a special treatment, all participants will have their own personal, “touchable” self-portrait as a souvenir. With limited seats, the workshops are complimentary on a first-come-first-served basis, and pre-registration is required.
