BaseHall to Revive the City’s Dining Scene
26 March @ 8:00 am - 12 June @ 5:00 pm
BaseHall, the multi-concept food hall in Jardine House, is reviving Hong Kong’s dining scene with an exciting programme of entertainment, including events hosted by Hong Kong’s top drag queens. The events will kick off with a Drag Bingo extravaganza, set to take place on 26 March at 7.30pm. Expect dazzling lip sync performances and entertainment from the queens, with treats and prizes for winners. Throughout the night, there’ll be runway presentations, twerk-offs, and lip-sync battles, for those who dare. Guests are encouraged to bring their own wig!
Guests will be able to enjoy the entertainment along with the full spread of BaseHall’s innovative culinary offerings. Tickets are priced at HK$800 and include a set meal from a BaseHall vendor of choice, a sweet treat from Cookie Dpt and two hours of free-flow Prosecco, wine, house spirits and Young Masters beers.
Restrictions permitting, BaseHall plans to make the Drag events a part of their regularly scheduled programming. The plan is for an inaugural Drag Brunch event to take place on June 12, which is set to be unlike anything Hong Kong has seen before. Drag Brunch invites attendees to don their best drag and enjoy a series of specially curated dining options from BaseHall’s vendors alongside performances and entertainment by Madame Mincemeat and XXXotica.
Drag Brunch and Drag Bingo are just part of the broader events schedule in store at BaseHall this year. With venues being able to stay open until 10pm, the dynamic cultural space will reinstate regular DJ nights, starting with an upcoming Reggae Night on April 2, as well as continuing its partnership with outdoor cinema The Grounds at AIA Vitality Park, and more family-focused events to come.
