Grain-free Crispy Cereal Smoothie with Chia Pudding

31 October, 2020 by Expat Living 3 Min Read

Charissa Areington is a Hong Kong-based health and fitness nutritional coach who brings us a delicious recipe each week. The recipes are based on Nuzest, a premium supplement designed to provide the body with the balance of vitamins and minerals it needs. This month, we’re concentrating on breakfast. It may be the most important meal of the day, but it can also be simple and nutritious, helping boost our energy levels and brain alertness while avoiding those on-the-go coffee-and-croissant mornings! This Grain-free Crispy Cereal Smoothie with Chia Pudding recipe is one example.

A word from Charissa

Most breakfast cereals are made from refined grains, not only highly processed but loaded with too much added sugar and trans fats. This is why, less is more. Let’s get the whole family to enjoy a healthy yet delicious breakfast from using the simplest ingredients.

This breakfast combo has two parts, a strawberry toasted cereal smoothie with a light strawberry chia porridge on the side. There are various ways to incorporate a bit of a granola crunch to your breakfast. With this breakfast, the crunch is from adding some toasted coconut flakes. You can even replace that with some activated buckwheat groats, both of these add a delicious gluten-free crunchy texture to the meal.

I have added the Kids Good Stuff from Nuzest to this breakfast, but you can also use the Clean Lean Protein range for the whole family. Whatever you prefer, both work and blend really well and both have the strawberry flavour options.
